Why are my 'Mail' Inbox email titles in triplicate?

did you import any email from backups / archives etc (outlook pfbackup.exe for example on Outlook 32 bit versions).

Are you using IMAP? If you are including "All mail" and "Inbox" you would get duplicates. I did with Gmail until I removed "All mail" in IMAP settings. If you import another IMAP folder viewing the same mail you could get triplicates.

What e-mail client and e-mail provider are you using?
