Make sure IE isn't using ActiveX filtering to block the vids on those pages, giving you that update line - because it will in some circumstances. Or if using Firefox, using No script will also.

Try uninstalling the flasher reboot then install it back fresh - I use to have that same problem with IE9 on W7 good luck.
