IE Favorites

Hi all

Running Win 8.1 preview and I've just noted that I can't add to my IE Favorites.

They have been moved correctly to another drive, if I put them back to the default location they work normally.

Appreciate any ideas, thanks.

I just did a test on my 8.1 laptop and I was able to move my IE10 Favorites to a flash drive and the add to Favorites function worked just fine; however, when I clicked the "move" option on the Favorites folder I was advised to move all files and folders, so I selected OK, and every thing is there. Here's what mine looks like moved to my Z drive:

Thanks a lot for trying that JustaTest but I done the exact same process and it doesn't work for me.

Hmm.. The only other observation I can make is that I previously had a Favorites folder in C:\Users\Laptop\Favorites but now I changed my favorite reference to just Z: for this test (no favorites folder in Z).

Unfortunately, this has been an issue since Windows 7. If you change the default location of your Favorites folder, your Favorites in Internet Explorer will no longer be available until you move your Favorites back to the default "C:\Users\(user-name)" location.

Thanks Brink but mine worked fine in Win 7, all very strange.

Must be something in Windows 8 that'll hopefully be sorted out in the 8.1 final release.
