I would appreciate some advice please. I use Gmail as my primary email but now and again check the Windows 8 mail app for a tidy up. I'm very frustrated because when I delete from the inbox then go to the 'deleted' mail to tidy that up sometime the mail wont delete by pressing the delete icon (top right) or by pressing Ctrl+D even though I've highlighted everything. Now I can't delete from Junk or sent mail, can you advise me please?

Thank you

Poppygran.

I still cant delete the emails and when I try they immediately reappear in another folder no matter what I do. I have Gmail and Outlook in my web browser so don't need this Metro mail box and as I wrongly signed up for it (thinking I needed to) can I remove the whole thing from my computer and the mail with it?

Thank you

No that didn't work. The scan showed;

Detected; Some security settings are missing and detected, and Missing or corrupt files detected. I closed down as instructed and it's the same problem when I've switched back on.

Sent mail has 12 emails in there from early June and again I've highlighted them tried to delete, the screen went white and half of them have appeared in POP with the other half in Junk. They seem to be going from one folder to another so is there any way I can take Live off the computer?
Thank you.

Not sure what you mean by removing "Live". Is this the Windows Modern Store app with a live email account?

Did your computer come with 8 on it?

Sounds like you have some corrupt or missing files. Try running scannow at least three times.

BTW, I like and use the email app without any problems whatsoever.
