Firefox 20 & 21 & Win 8

Not, I believe, a Win 8 problem but why does FF 20 & 21 (just installed) always open on the damned Welcome to FF screen. I have it set on a url as my home screen but always Welcome to opens up first, with a tab to my homepage. I dod not want FF welcome screen - how do I get rid of it? Options tells me that homepage will always open first, it does not.

Wouldn't you just go to options->general tab-> and input the url in the "home page" field you want it to open to?

I do state that in my text above, its already done but makes no difference, the welcome screen is over my home page (tabbed)

As some genius minds would say, check files with command in cmd "sfc /scannow", because we dont have this problem But if seriously, try to fully delete firefox with all registers and other files, that arent deleted with simple uninstall, and then try to install v21, or even try v22.

I get that screen on 1st boot after installing a new version of FF. Are you switching back and forth on both versions of FF? If you close and reopen the same version does it do the same thing?

I can't make google as home page in FireFox 20

I was going to try it in my 64 bit laptop but FF 21 is not supported on 64 bit win 7 yet. Bit slow aren't they? FF22 is delayed (surprise surprise).

What do you mean by "ff21 is not supported on win 7 64 bit" ? ff always was and still is 32 bit application, there is custom 64 bit builds made by other people, and alpha 64 bit builds. ff 21 is out, and ff 22 is beta. If you want 64 bit ff, you can download it from XhmikosR's Builds , it's simple ff recompiled in 64 bits, i'm using it myself as for now, mostly because of 64 bit, with it all my plugins will be 64 bit as well, like flash player or java.
