Solved Metro version of IE wont launch

Ive set the IE as default from Internt otions of IE( dektop version). Now the app from start screen wont do anything. Th e desktop version works but It can be launch frpm the startscreen either. I have unpined and pined to startcsreen but no avail. That browser choice that keeps staying on the startscreen wont do a thing : cant instal IE from there

Hello. Browser links pushed in all the other Modern/Metro apps use and opens the immersive (Modern/Metro) IE10. Perhaps this has something to do with it. Please reverse the default setting you did, try to open both, and report back.

Hello StefaNafetS,

Do you have the IE10 Metro icon or IE10 desktop icon on your Start screen?
If that still does not help, then you might see if opening Windows Features, turn off (uncheck) Internet Explorer 10, click on OK, restart computer, then go back and turn on (check) Internet Explorer, click on OK, and restart again to apply.

well I did that but succeded only after I choose all the defaults; only seting it as default it doesnt work since the 2 protocols ( HTTP and HTTPS ) are uncheched and reserved for Chrome. So now I suppose I dont have that thing called chrome metro style. I see I still have the option to launch chrome in win8 mode but it ask me again how I want to open HTTP links

what about the broswer choice ? is that due to stay always as a an app?

noticed something quite annoying : why html documnts opens in metro and http in desktop?
