First-I have searched far and wide. I have tried many tips. I get no video on websites? I am using the classic shell on a desktop PC, no Metro, no touch. But also, no video content in websites. As soon as I go to Firefox and go to the same place I get video.

This is so sad- Should no have to jump thru hoops. Please don't tell me I have to add every website I want video content on to the compatibility list???? Please say it ain't so.

Any help, greatly appreciated,
Thanks

Sorry-I am so tired of searching and writing IE10 that I missed it. I am no beginner either. This is just mind blowing.
Thanks for the reply

In IE10 under Tools, make sure Active X Filtering is UN-Checked. Also check Add-Ons and make sure flash is enabled.

Make sure to close IE & open it again after making changes in Internet Options. :)

BTW-in the IE10 tools menu "compatibility View" is greyed out?????????? The "comp view settings" is available????

Thanks for taking the time to do that-But still no go. I think it's the install itself maybe?
I upgraded from 7x64, didn't do a clean install. But honestly, I am finding more and more I do NOT like about win 8.
I should do a clean install but I am a musician and have so.............many plugs to authorize and install.
I am giving one more day or so of searching and I am officially done.
You folks have been great and I thank you

Before doing a clean install try running sfc /scannow in administrator command prompt.
If it shows problems it cannot fix, run:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

in administrator command prompt.

Post back results. :)

I already did that but thanks. I might as well do a clean install. I have an Asus N56vm laptop with a clean install and it shows videos fine. In my desktop (daw mainly) I have an intel SSD335 240GB-so a nice clean install of Win 8 Pro will be nice.
Like I said, I do appreciate the quick responses and ideas from everyone here.

I have wanted a new motherboard and processor so I might as well do it all together-+new video card. My laptop serves me fine, even for recording and mixing. Pretty powerful little beast with 16GB ram and an i7, think it's 3440? or close. Also 2GB nvidea graphics.

Thanks again

I just cannot believe this-all this time it was tracking protection was on 3 of the sites I frequesnt. I never would have thought this would stop a video from appearing. And I can also say I searched google for at least a week-stating my thread title-never one mention of tracking protection.

I got video!!!!!!!!

It was so simple-too simple I guess. It was the tracking filter in IE10. S soon as I turned off tacking filter on the websites in question-the video came back.
