How can I use Windows Mail on Windows *?

Hi,

I've been trying to move my windows mail from my Vista OS to my new Windows 8, but when I attempt to move the program, Win 8 denies access of winmail.exe. Can anyone help with this?

I don't think you can just move the program as it would need to be installed from the setup file. Can you not use Windows Live Mail from the Live Essentials suite?

Just my curiosity, Why don't you use Windows Live Mail ?

Yes. Mail messages from Windows Mail & Windows Live Mail are having extension ".eml". From Vista, just back up all messages, contacts using this link: Backup Windows Mail Messages and Contacts in Vista

Install Windows Live Mail then import.
