I have absolutely no bloody idea...
firefox version 19.0.2

ok..so I get an alert on my taskbar, that firefox just crashed, by that I mean the built in notification from firefox itself, here's the kicker, its sitting on the gmail login page, not being used, doing nothing... why would it crash?

so, I downgraded from firefox 19.0.2 to 19.0.1 and am waiting to see if it does it again.

I am running 19.02 also and I don't have any problem. You might want to check if you have the latest Flash Player installed: Find version
Also, sometimes Firefox will crash due to incompatible Add-ons.

Hey xraiderv1,

Could be an installed add-on causing an issue.

You might see if using Help -> Restart with Add-ons Disabled from the Menu bar or Firefox button, then click on Start in Safe Mode will allow it to run properly afterwards. If so, then it's one of the add-ons.

fairly sure if it was an addon incompatibility, firefox woulda disabled it on the update startup check it always does after every update.

same list of addons I always use, all up to date.

see screenshot.

Maybe, but it wouldn't hurt to temporarily disable all of them to see how FF runs afterwards.

You might also try the latest beta build of Firefox. It's been running great for me so far.

Hi, Just a thought that may help you. I changed to Waterfox some months ago now and it works perfectly on the 64 bit version. I was having minor problems with FF at that time and decided to trial Waterfox and have now decided to stay with it. Current version is:18.0.1.
Regards.
Yorky.
