    as we all have said unless you made a change in the browser, microsoft will not stop java, so unless you need ie desperately try installing firefox and use that when you need java.

    Well. I said it in my earlier post. I am not a gamer, but have several shortcuts to online games in Flyordie, for relaxation. These are mostly java based. I use IE as my default, and have not been stopped from entering those games.

I use both 32 and 64 bit browsers so I had Java in both versions up to v7. Now I installed Java 8, 64 bit, then tried to install the 32 bit version. The installer, however, halted for I 'already had it'. Does it mean that from v8 the 64 bit Java can also be used by the 32 bit browsers?
