Firefox Crashing blue screen of death

Hi all,

My mother just recently got a laptop with Windows 8 installed on it. She went to go onto Facebook via firefox. She can browse for about two minutes until it crashes. It will then restore the session. Again it will crash however it will show a screen as such....

Then the computer will restart and the process will loop itself. I'm pretty tech savvy, however this jump from seven to eight is quite overwhelming, even for me.

Any help would be awesome!

that's a strange error. I'm running both the latest Firefox v19.0 as well as the nightly build v22 and both run great.

do you have particular plugins you use? it's pretty darn hard to get a blue screen nowadays. usually it's a device driver problem or failing hardware.
