Whenever I switch to 480p, 720p, or 1080p the video goes black and freezes. Happens in Chrome, Firefox, and IE. Don't have this problem in OSX or Win 7 via Bootcamp. Just bought a Lenovo with Win 8 stock.

Could we back up a bit and first get the make/model of your stock Win 8 Lenovo please? Once known, in addition to the fact that we now you are using Firefox, this should be solvable.

Since you do not have full specs in "My System Specs", can you check here for minimum HW requirements :
Adobe Flash Player 12 | Tech specs
Maybe you can give video card make and type at least.

Simple. Install your video driver.

If your adapter is too old for Windows 8, disable Hardware Acceleration in Flash.
