I am wondering if my Hotmail address causes differences on the Outlook.com interface in Windows 8 as opposed to a true ms or live email address. One reason I ask is that at the top left of the interface of MAIL it says Hotmail. When I log on to Outlook.com in a browser I have the "gear icon" for settings. When I click on the METRO TILE MAIL and the interface is presented along with my mail I can find no where to change settings. If I reveal the "charms" and click on settings I can see nothing that helps?
> Would I have more options if I were to obtain a true MS email and not use Hotmail addy
> If there is not difference, why can't I find the gear icon or a place to change settings?
Thanks greatly! jack ":-D
