"Choose how you open links." greyed out

Weeks ago I modified IE10 to always open on the traditional desktop. Now that I am more comfortable with the moderns start desktop, I wanted to change the "control panel > internet properties > programs > choose how you open links" back to the default to allow ie10 decide to open on the traditional desktop or the modern start desktop, but the open is greyed out.

I fear I may have set this in a group policy, but now I'm unable to find where this would have been set. Can someone tell me where to find this setting in group policies?

    Hello mfaklis,

The tutorial below can help show you how to quickly view any group policies that you have set. From there, it will make it easier to find the one for Internet Explorer, if set.

Group Policy Editor - Quickly View Enabled Policies in Windows - Windows 7 Forums

It's most likely this setting below under either "User Configuration" or "Computer Configuration".

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Hi, Brink--Have you ever counted how many tutorials you have? There sure are a lot of them with some very good information.

disregard...got it working. I didn't have IE set as the default browser for anyone else that might pull a 'duh'.
