I've just started using Win 8 on a new touch screen computer. I can't get the Menu Bar to display in Internet Explorer. (No File - Edit - Favorites - etc). The same problem with Skype, which needed to be upgraded to the latest version when I first started the computer. (No Skype - Contacts - Conversation - etc.) I've right-clicked and tapped all over the screen in IE and Skype, but the option to display the Menu Bar does not pop up. I tried the charms on the right side of the screen, to see if there are Settings I could do, but no luck. This can't be right. You need to browse your list of favorite websites. You need to be able to send a file with Skype (Conversation > Send > File). And so forth. A missing Menu Bar is probably also a problem with other programs. How do I display the Menu Bar in Internet Explorer and Skype? If I manage to see the Menu Bar, with your help, this problem will probably be solved for other programs too.
PS. If I press Alt in IE, nothing happens, no menu bar or toolbars displayed.
