How do I cut & paste (not drag & drop) url into a folder?

I can drag & drop. But many times, when folder windows are underneath the Chrome browser & I want to keep the desktop layout, I'd like to just copy the url, find that file folder from the task bar then paste the url.

Your help is appreciated.

If you like, one workaround is to use the tutorial below to pin the folder to your taskbar. Afterwards, you could cut & paste on or drag & drop links into the folder on the taskbar for this.
