Warming Up to Metro-Style IE on Start Screen, but ... .
Hi:
I am warming Up to the Metro-Style IE on the Start Screen, but is there a way to access one's favorites menu when in this version of IE? If not, do you have a clue why accessing favorites is a no-no in Metro IE?

Hello znod,
You can view and use your favorites in IE10 Metro, but they are just not as organized as they are in the IE10 desktop version.

Hope this helps,

Thanks much to both of you. And, Shawn the tutorials are super.
I see how Favorites/Metro IE works. But, gosh, using a browser this way seems very cumbersome. I don't think I am warming up to "Metro-Style IE on Start Screen" after all. Am I missing something?

You're most welcome znod. I'm glad we could help.
Yeah, if you have a lot of favorites like I do, it sure is a mess to have to scroll through like that in IE10 Metro.

I'm just leaving open the "tab" sites I use on a very frequent basis. But, they are duplicated in frequent--so that's not so good. Using this setup isn't so bad while having early morning coffee. At least I'm using some of the start screen a small portion of the time. And, my understanding of how it works may help me help others periodically.

Hi there
Metro is really meant for a small smart phone screen or a tablet touch device.
IE in Metro mode on a Large external monitor is a DOG --who would actually work in full screen only .
Cheers

Absolutely! I try to use some metro apps, but full screen on a little 24" monitor means I can see it from the next room and my keyboard won't reach that far... The only reason I don't bypass it all the time is because I can glance at the weather before I fire up the desktop to do real stuff.
