Windows 8 OutLook disappeared?

I asked and had a answer that the only way I could use and bring up my E-mail groups such as 'Friends, Relatives etc., was to use Windows outlook. They were right. Then Windows Outlook,' disappeared. It costs about $149.00 to purchase this! Is Microsoft deliberately doing this with Windows 8 to rip the customer off?
Why can't I bring up and use my E-mail groups without Outlook on my regular E-mail APP? Windows 7 had a much better and easier to use E-mail friendly program with no extra charges for more software!!!!!!

1. Windows 8 upgrade is cheap compared to previous os's
2. Windows 8 includes free e-mail app, good deal
3. Yes, the new e-mail app IMO is very hard to customize
4. Microsoft is still reportedly working on future tweaks for the e-mail app
5. I am still using Microsoft Outlook 2007 till they work out the e-mail app issues

Windows 8 email app

I just got windows 8. I tried to set up my email for my netzero account which I had ever since I owned a computer. I was told Microsoft out look doesn't support this account .it is a pop 3 server. Net zero. Help offered a solution . But did not help. I can get the emails form my desktop only. Please keep in mind I am no computer tech.

Sorry forgot to mention my last os was vista.

Open up a hotmail or live email account and forward your netzero email to it.

then set up the email app to receive your hotmail or live account and then you will see all your emails from all accounts.

I did this with yahoo email which is also pop3 in nature, problem is all the emails show up in one folder, dont like that at all.
