At first it was updating and showed movement but now it's just static. It's set up with Gmail and an IMAP account with my ISP. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

Thanks,

My live tile for the Mail app didn't start working until a few moments after I got my first new unread email.

Mine is doing the same thing. I have sent test emails and it never gives me a notification. Once I open it, it refreshes and they are there. I checked the settings and it is set to notify, check for mail every 30 minutes, and the live tile is on. Not sure if it is related to the fact that the email I used to sign into the computer is the same (different password for the PC) so I set up another account with the same email using the correct password. Guess I am glad to see I am not alone though.

I use my Live account to sign into my PC with the same password for PC and mail. I thought that was the whole idea. Once signed into the PC it automatically signs into Live mail. Not only that, but the other MS accounts as well. MSDN, the MS Store, Bing, Cloud, etc. or wherever I navigate to. e.i. when I open IE Metro Bing homepage, I'm automatically signed in, but not so if I open IE desktop. But if I push the signin button, it signs me in automatically. ???

So I think this signs one into the MS account which includes all the others affiliated accounts that one has, as long as using IE Metro. I'm assuming this all has to do with the Metro side of the OS, not the Win32.

Does this make sense to anyone?

Also, I have two Live email accounts and one Gmail account configured. I get notifications on all three. I do have a different password for all three, but use one Live account to sign into my PC.

hmmm, I guess I could try and change the password of the one I sign in with to match the yahoo password and see if that does it. Well I use my yahoo mail to sign in to the pc and I set it up as another account. I disabled the one I sign in with and set the other to sync and notify. This is weird for sure....

Hi,

You're not alone. The tile updates sporadically for me and sometimes refuses to launch at all. I then have to force-close and restart it. It's connected to my Live account and one Gmail account. Also, the calendar app doesn't update my Gmail calendar that it's connected to. My entries also randomly disappear. Anyway, I've defaulted back to Outlook.
