    IE 10 and Java

Hi win 8 people, anyone know what is going on with IE 10 and Java, a few sites I visit use Java but IE 10 doesn't seem to be able to run it, IE 9 was fine.

Have installed the latest 64 bit version of sun Java but it still doesn't work.

    Any clues?

    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply brummyfan

But that doesn't help me, now the webpage just displays without the Java working.

OK I admit, I make websites, and as a webdev we have to make sites work on all browsers, so just using Chrome or FF doesn't help me either.

My apologies, may be some security settings conflict with Java installation.
EDIT: Try resetting IE, might work.

    NP brummyfan, thanks for trying

    No, reset doesn't work.

Can anyone here go to the Java website for me and run the test to verifier Java is installed in their IE 10 desktop version.

The test always fails for me.

    Verify Java Version

    Thanks.

Hi Data, when I ran the test initially, the message I got was "There's no working Java installed", then I installed and ran the test, Java successfully installed message appeared.

Cheers for that brummyfan, it looks like its a problem my end and not something that is happening to all, at least I know that now.

If I find the fix for this I will be sure to post it here.

Java 8, 32 and 64 bit
I use both 32 and 64 bit browsers so I had Java in both versions up to v7. Now I installed Java 8, 64 bit, then tried to install the 32 bit version. The installer, however, halted for I 'already had it'. Does it mean that from v8 the 64 bit Java can also be used by the 32 bit browsers?
